Oscillatory motion - Oscillatory motion - the to and fro motion of a body about a fixed point is called oscillatory motion.it is a type of periodic motion.
Examples - Motion of a pendulum is the most common example of oscillatory motion. The bob of a pendulum is always in a to and fro motion about a fixed point.
